The Modern Calligraphy Starter Set includes:
- Modern Calligraphy Workbook – an 70 pages A4 Pad that covers instructions on the basic tools you need for calligraphy practice, setting up, basic strokes, instructions for letter construction, traceable shapes and letter forms, instructional arrows, lowercase and uppercase alphabet exemplar and extra pages with grids for you to exercise. Furthermore, this Pad aims to walk you through the entire process, that is why we included a connecting and spacing area, where you can find traceable joined letters – from every lowercase letters to other letters. Also traceable words and short expressions are provided for you to work upon them and develop muscle memory. The pad provides an elegant slightly bouncy slanted script, with we created also ans a font you can have – Maddigum.
- 1 pen holder at your choice. You can choose also dual colored pen holders to add a chic note to your calligraphy tools. If you are a lefty, consider choosing a straight pen holder or an oblique special for left handed writers. Get the chance to choose your favorite pen holder!
- 2 nibs. 2 pointed nibs are provided, tested with beginners – in fact we use these nibs for all our beginner courses. ( The packaging for the nibs may vary considering stocks)
- two inks – 1 black ink, 1 at your choice. Certainly, inks are made in house. :) The first is black, the second is your choice!
- Silicone Mat – for you to protect your desk and keep your workspace clean. ( The color of the mat may vary, considering the stocks we have from the producers. Usually, colors range from grey to cream, nude, pink)
- Small microfiber cloth to clean your nib ( The color of the cleaning cloth may vary, considering the stocks we have from the producers. Usually, colors range from grey to cream, nude, pink)
- Extra papers for creative projects ( a selection of cards to write upon and create your cards, tags or place cards – there will be a mix of paper colors, considering what we have available in stock)
